Aqua Natura Benidorm has expanded its facilities dedicated to aquatic leisure with the construction of a new entertainment area, equipped with 1,400 square meters of extension. The new space, called Adventure Island, has been designed for the enjoyment of the family, it has a controlled and safe environment with various children’s games, where a playful and learning side is combined. The area has been specially designed for children up to 12 years old.

The action has allowed to adapt an area, which was a resting area and solarium, to make this new space that has increased the number of attractions in the 40 hectares with which the water park already has. The area has been done with different elements that characterize both parks.
Adventure Island has 642 square metres and a volume of water of 153 cubic metres. In total, an extension that occupies just over 900 square metres has been paved. The infrastructure has play areas in the shape of dump trucks, bamboo water canes, fountains and water curtains that will allow visitors to cool off while the little ones play in an area with little depth.
Also, the area has three small beaches that surround the water castle. Specifically, it has a slide ramp, two open slides and two hydrotube slides with spiral that lead to a hydrofining tube. The structure has a 400-litre capacity bucket and performs a tipping movement autonomously when it is completely filled with water. These 400 litres are launched in a fraction of a second.
The main part is themed with roofs that simulate heather with lianas and siamang monkeys dedicate to the animals that live in Terra Natura. The theming includes two main figures, the heads of a lion and a tigress that crown the main slides. The configuration of the space has been established under criteria of environmental respect and with the aim of integrating the new space into the existing environment.
The new area of ​​Aqua Natura Benidorm, Adventure Island, has been built with the intention that the public is immersed in an aquatic adventure, especially designed for family fun. The project has been created under strict safety standards, which obey with European regulations, and offers a broad field of vision, allowing parents to rest and relax while children play and have fun in the water under the eye of the lifeguards.
Celebration and fun in the water
To celebrate the creation of Adventure Island, on July, 7th will take place the party ‘Guardians of the Oceans’. Visitors can enjoy special leisure activities, the mermaid school and sea lion´s entertainment.
