An interactive game stars in our educational offer for the next academic year

hace 2 years

Entertainment and leisure activities complete the educational programme designed to raise awareness about the protection of biodiversity among schoolchildren.

A new interactive game, the only one of its kind in the Valencia Region, is the main feature of Terra Natura Benidorm’s educational programme for the next school year 2022-2023. Through this tour, schoolchildren will be able to learn interesting facts and curiosities about the different species that inhabit the different thematic areas of this space, dedicated to the conservation of biodiversity and its dissemination.

In this way, schools will be able to access an app to complement their visit through games and educational challenges. It will provide information in a playful way about species from the American, Asian and European continents, as well as poisonous animals that students can find in the permanent exhibition of poisonous creatures, located inside an immense volcano inside the park.

We have created this interactive experience, called ‘The Adventure of Knowledge’, in order to raise awareness about the care and conservation of animal species and biodiversity, while introducing the use of new technologies as a cross-cutting subject through the interactive tour. The interactive material is adapted to all levels and educational cycles.

The app includes an interactive map of the park, specific animal files, videos and audios with curiosities, threats and conservation status, challenges, activities, word games, crosswords, among other actions. In addition, teachers will be able to use this didactic and complementary information contained in this digital tool to enrich the visit of schoolchildren, prepare the visit and work on content related to biodiversity.

On the other hand, the educational offer will include a particularly active part dedicated to children’s entertainment and leisure, where schoolchildren will be able to enjoy the children’s playground and the multi-adventure area ‘La selva del Langur’, as well as a birds of prey flight demonstration. Schools that wish to do so can hire the assistance of an educator during their visit to the park.

To publicise the educational offer, an open day will be organised for teachers and the presidents of the AMPAS, which will take place from 15th September to 31st October.
