Bringing Environmental Education to Levante Beach with a Free Awareness Day

hace 8 months

On Wednesday 6th August, part of our Education Department team headed to Levante Beach to give a free environmental awareness speech aimed at families, local residents, and tourists. The activity began at 11:00 am and will run until 2:00 pm at the Biblioplaya — a unique cultural and educational space located right on the sand.

Throughout the day, a dynamic and interactive talk-workshop focused on ocean and coastal protection has been offered. Participants have had the opportunity to learn how their everyday habits can directly impact the health of the marine environment. The main goal of this initiative is to spark interest in caring for the natural world through knowledge-sharing and active engagement.

This initiative is part of the environmental education campaigns promoted by Benidorm Town Council’s Department of Beaches and Environment, in collaboration with RA Benidorm, the company responsible for the local beach lifeguard service. The council continues to work towards the sustainable management of the coastline, encouraging activities that strengthen public commitment to clean, safe, and environmentally respectful beaches.

This event is one of many educational activities that takes place throughout the year, bringing nature conservation closer to all audiences — even beyond the boundaries of the park. In doing so, we reaffirm our role as an active agent in environmental outreach and education at the local level.
