We celebrate the World Environmental Education Day with talks on sustainable development
hace 3 yearsAt Terra Natura Benidorm we have arrange informative talks on the occasion of the World Environmental Education Day, which takes place every January 26th. The park’s Education Department will develop educational talks and special enrichments next weekend with the aim of raising awareness related to the conservation of biodiversity through scientific dissemination. Through these experiences, educators spread values to promote sustainable development, combat climate change and its effects, safeguard genetic diversity, reduce the risk of extinction and habitat loss, promote the sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems and stop the loss of biodiversity.
In this way, we try to raise awareness about the Sustainable Development Objectives (SDO), included in the Aichi targets for Biological Diversity and the 2030 diary for sustainable development, so that society adopts responsible habits and promotes sustainability.
The park permanently develops family visits and school visits with the aim of promoting attitudes of commitment and protection towards the environment. This promotes awareness of the problems that affect the conservation of biodiversity and focuses attention on the role that human beings play in the sustainability of the planet’s natural resources.
