The organisation by Aqua Natura Benidorm of this meeting has a double objective. On the one hand, it seeks to raise awareness of the need to conserve and protect marine ecosystems, and on the other hand, it aims to promote the sport of swimming with mermaids and tritons tails.
The programme of the 2nd National Mermaids and Tritons Meeting has included the development of other entertainment activities by popular cartoon characters, a face-painting and bright tattoo workshop and a marine games library. There was also an informative talk on marine diversity.
One of the professional mermaids, Verónica Mermaid, was in charge of a storytelling session with the children. The day’s entertainment concluded with a foam party.
