SDGs become the guiding thread of our educational programming for the 2024/2025 school year

Specific itineraries have been created adapted to each educational level, ranging from Infant Education to Baccalaureate.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) will become the guiding thread of the educational programme that Terra Natura Benidorm has designed for this new academic year 2024/2025. The new programme of high-level educational activities, based on the contents of the LOMLOE, will offer teachers and students a unique learning opportunity focused on the Conservation of Biodiversity, as well as the promotion of ethical values and the SDGs linked to the park.

We have developed specific itineraries adapted to each educational level for students to explore different ecosystems and learn about the species that inhabit them, orienting the contents addressed according to the students’ school cycle.

Within these itineraries, activities can be carried out that include a route through Asia among animals such as elephants, tigers and clouded panthers, among other species; the educational demonstration of raptor flight with eagles, owls and hawks; a didactic workshop; a route through America, where you can explore in an immense aviary that houses numerous species, including macaws, marmosets, and a pair of sloths; and the exhibition of the World of Poison that hides tarantulas, scorpions, venomous snakes, among other living creatures.

The proposed educational programme covers from Infant Education to Baccalaureate. A specific programme has been designed for each stage. Thus, for the Infant Education pupils, the ‘Little Bees’ workshop will be held, where the little ones will learn about the importance of bees in ecosystems, and the ‘Touch and play’, an interactive workshop on the textures of different animals.

In the case of Primary Education, the activities will focus on the study and knowledge of vertebrate animals, aromatic plants, the ecological footprint and environmental enrichment, all from an approach centred on eco-social awareness. For ESO and Bachillerato students there will be advanced workshops such as ‘Species identification’, the mission of zoos or ‘One Health’.

Fees for the educational itineraries will vary depending on the duration of the visit, with prices ranging from 6,5€ to 7,5€ per child per activity. The group will have a specialised educator to guide the students on their tour.
