The Summer School is back with a wide range of educational and recreational activities

hace 3 years

The programme will start on 27th June and end on 2nd September.

At Terra Natura Benidorm we have resumed the organisation of our Summer School, with a dynamic programme based on experiences, including workshops and activities. It will take place from the 27th of June until the 2nd of September, coinciding with the start of the school year. It will promote values related to respect for the environment and the conservation of biodiversity.

Under the slogan ‘Know to love and respect’, the new programme will include visits to the inner shelters of elephants, rhinoceroses, birds of prey, primates and reptiles, among other animals. In addition, there will be workshops focused on biodiversity, where children can participate in environmental enrichment activities for animals, as well as a fun science workshop and a musical workshop, among other novelties.

Another of the proposed workshops, called ‘The vegetable garden’, will allow participants to work on healthy eating and its link with the environment. Handicrafts will play a predominant role in the programme. Different exploration routes will also be organised so that the children can get to know the different species in the park and their singularities.

In addition to these activities, there will be a visit to the veterinary clinic where the park’s vets and biologists will show the children how the animals are cared for. All activities will be directed and supervised by expert professionals with full dedication, in a safe and controlled environment.

The main objectives of the Summer School are to contribute to the reconciliation of work and family life during the summer season, and at the same time to promote the knowledge and dissemination of nature among children from an early age.

The activities are specially designed for children to learn about the curiosities and characteristics of the fauna and flora of the different continents in a playful, entertaining and fun way. The actions that the children will be able to do will allow them to foster their capacity for empathy, respect and solidarity not only towards animals, but also towards nature and society in general.

A refreshing experience

The Summer School programme will be completed with water games in the Aqua Natura Benidorm water park. The games will be adapted to each age group and water will be the protagonist in all of them. On the other hand, children will be able to visit the family of sea lions, with whom they will learn and interact.

At the Mermaids and Tritons School they will be able to become these fantastic characters, enjoying an experience that combines physical activity and fantasy. Those responsible for education will take advantage of the visit to the water park to raise awareness among children about the need to take care of the marine ecosystem and the different species that live in it.
