Traditional dances and medieval re-enactments will liven up the celebration of 9th of October at Terra Natura Benidorm
hace 3 yearsThe traditional dances, accompanied by a tabalet and dolçaina recital, will welcome visitors who come to Terra Natura Benidorm next Saturday. On the occasion of the celebration of the Valencian Community Day, a special programme of activities dedicated to family leisure has been designed to highlight the culture and tradition of the Valencian Community.
The activities will begin with a welcome where traditional dances and instruments, such as the tabalet and the dolçaina, will be the protagonists. The music will continue to be present with traditional dances, big heads and little horses, which will take place in the Asian area. A group made up of 25 artists from the Group of Dances Centener will participate in the development of these musical shows.
The little ones will be able to enjoy the workshop of making dragon eggs and dragon masks at the Fairy and elves School. In addition, there will be a face painting and tattoo workshop with paintings for boys and girls. Focused on children, the burricorn tournament will also take place, where children will be able to join in the typical medieval tournament.
Visitors will be able to move to a moment in the history of this land, visiting a recreation of a camp of soldiers by Jaume I. The camp will be installed next to the multi-adventure area in the area of Asia and the members of the Valencian Napoleonic Association will be in charge of recreating this setting.
As a complement to the activities, a contest of medieval shields will be organised. In the amphitheatre will take place the ceremony to award the best medieval shields, assessing their design, sustainability and the message they convey. To culminate the celebration of the Valencian Community Day, a tasting of hot chocolate will be prepared on Saturday, which will be offered by the company Chocolates Clavileño.
Visitors will also be able to enjoy other experiences such as enrichment activities with siamang, elephants, jaguars, capuchin monkeys, tigers, rhinos, among other species. There will also be a birds of prey demonstration and the Discovery elephants or Discovery rinhos activity, among other initiatives.
