We prepare a tasting menu for more than 40 animals to celebrate San Anton

This weekend we join the celebration of the day of San Anton, patron saint of animals, with the design of a programme which will include activities as surprises as offering a tasting menu to more than 40 animals.
The public visiting these days will be able to see the chameleons tasting a sautéed insect, the Capuchin monkeys enjoying a portion of broken eggs, the camel sipping a great jelly of berries or the otters eating delicious flavoured trout. The delicatessen will also arrive in the shape of a Galician beef steak for the family of Bengal tigers and 100 kilos of apples, bananas and sliced ​​melons will be made for the elephants.
In addition, the Asian lions of Terra Natura Benidorm will be the protagonists of a new activity of environmental enrichment, which will consist of an olfactory tasting with different aromas that will stimulate their senses. To do this, the carers will leave different perfumes through the meadow and in the branches of the trees.
With the aim of promoting awareness of species care, zookeepers will take advantage of the day to remind visitors of the importance of acquiring pets in a responsible manner.
The entertainment offer will be completed with other activities such as talks in the aviary, the birds of prey show, the Discovery Elephants guided tour, the animation ‘Market day in Asia’, the puppet show aimed at children “A sea … of tale ‘and other animations such as’ La Tribu. visitors can also participate in the School of Fairies and Elves or have fun in the adventure park ‘Selva de Langur’.
