We’re Launching a New Edition of Our Summer School and a Special Teen Campus

hace 10 months

At Terra Natura and Aqua Natura Benidorm, we’re excited to announce a new edition of our popular educational summer programme, running from 23rd June to 5th September. This year, we’re introducing an exciting addition: a dedicated campus designed specifically for teenagers. Widely recognised as one of the most comprehensive initiatives on the Costa Blanca, our programme blends fun, responsible leisure with hands-on learning in nature, all under the guidance of expert staff.

Launched to coincide with the end of the school year, the programme offers two age-specific options: the Summer School for children aged 4 to 11, and the Teen Campus for young people aged 12 to 16. Both options are designed to encourage teamwork, critical thinking, and environmental awareness. Through engaging and interactive activities, participants will discover fascinating facts about the flora and fauna from different continents represented in our park. Our approach helps nurture empathy, respect, and a sense of responsibility—towards animals, the natural world, and society at large.

Highlights of the educational experience include up-close encounters with the park’s biodiversity: visits to behind-the-scenes animal facilities—such as those of rhinos, elephants, and primates—hands-on environmental enrichment workshops, and insight into the daily workings of our on-site veterinary clinic. These activities offer participants a unique glimpse into the inner workings of a modern zoo dedicated to conservation. Terra Natura Benidorm is proud to be actively involved in European breeding programmes for endangered species, as a member of EAZA.

The programme also includes educational games, English-language activities, and curriculum-linked science projects. Over at Aqua Natura Benidorm, the focus on fun is enhanced with experiences such as swimming with a monofin in the mermaid school and interacting with sea lions, all with an underlying message of marine conservation. Younger children will also have the chance to become “Ocean Guardians” through playful, immersive activities like becoming a mermaid or merman—always with a strong educational foundation focused on respect for marine life and ecosystems.

Personalised attention and ongoing communication with families remain key pillars of this initiative, which is delivered by a highly experienced team of professionals specialising in childhood education, environmental awareness, and recreational learning.
