Terra Natura Benidorm is participating in the AIZA Annual Congress with a presentation on reproduction in female Indian rhinoceros and Asian elephants. The forum takes place from the 7th to the 9th of March in Gijón. The veterinarian, Mario Torró, was in charge of giving a talk this morning in which he presented two cases of reproductive pathology in large herbivores, which required an ultrasound examination to obtain a diagnosis.

In addition to members of the veterinary team, the general manager of Terra Natura Benidorm, Luis Perea, who is a member of the AIZA Board of Directors, also attended the event, as well as members of the conservation, education and marketing area of the park to learn about the latest trends and developments in conservation work, research and educational projects within the zoological field.

AIZA’s working groups are a fundamental platform for fostering communication and collaboration between professionals in the sector. Making easy the exchange of knowledge and issues of common interest, thus consolidating the commitment to continuous improvement in the care of animals and the contribution to biodiversity.
