We reopen today to visitors

hace 4 years

From Terra Natura we have received the first visitors who have come this morning with an emotional welcome.

Terra Natura Benidorm has reopened its doors after the declaration of the State of Alarm in March. Employees have welcome first visitors this morning.

The entrance of visitors has been accompanied by background music, covering the song “The cycle of life” by The Lion King. The director of Terra Natura Benidorm, Luis Perea, has mentioned that “being able to welcome visitors back to our park is very exciting, after being forced to close in a hasty way due to the health crisis”.

Perea thanked “the commitment and dedication of all the employees who during these closing months have continued working to guarantee the welfare of the animals.” The manager also conveyed a message of gratitude, security and confidence to visitors who have come to the park today and to those who will visit us in the coming days to learn about the family leisure offer, based on the conservation of biodiversity.

The attending public has been able to visit the different thematic areas of Pangea, America, Europe and Asia in a suggested itinerary, where specific activities, marks and indications have been incorporated so visitors keep the conditions recommended by the health authorities and can continue enjoying the experience of the visit.

Visitors will be able to see first-hand special environmental enrichments, such as feeding the capuchin monkeys or Asian tigers and rain simulations for rhinos and lions, developed by the zookeepers.

For the opening, a protocol of health prevention measures has been established that aims to guarantee the maximum safety of visitors and employees. The prevention plan has been drawn up based on the guidelines and recommendations given by the Institute for Spanish Tourist Quality (ICTE) for amusement, animal and leisure parks, which are included in the UNE 0066-18 specification.

Preventive measures

The package of prevention measures includes actions such as taking the temperature of visitors, reducing the capacity in accordance with current legal regulations or the installation of hydroalcoholic gel dispensers. Following the guidelines of the health authorities, it is required to wear face masks throughout the premises as long as the safety distance cannot be taken.

Likewise, the frequency of disinfection and cleaning tasks has been increased in all the facilities of the park. Also, we recommend the purchase of tickets to be done through our web site.
