hace 1 year

A group of students who are training as veterinary technical assistants have visited Terra Natura Benidorm this morning. 28 students of the MasterD Veterinary School have known closely the indoor facilities of the elephants and the veterinary clinic of Terra Natura Benidorm.

During the meeting, the park’s veterinarian, Mario Torró, spoke to them about the conservation status of elephants in the wild and the working procedures followed with these animals in terms of handling, safety, facilities, feeding, health and training.

This visit is part of the training and education activities that the park carries out on a regular basis to share the experience in the knowledge and handling of animals by its team of specialists, as well as to disseminate the most common conservation challenges in biodiversity.

Terra Natura Benidorm currently collaborates with more than 40 training centres throughout Spain and Europe, through extracurricular internships in various branches of training related to the environment, education and veterinary science.
