Our programme, running from 24 October to 1 November, will feature educational activities, live shows and the fifth edition of ‘Holiween’, with more than 600 kilos of fluorescent powder.

At Terra Natura Benidorm, we will celebrate Halloween from 24 October to 1 November with a special programme combining educational activities, live shows and family entertainment under the slogan ‘The real fear: losing them forever’. The celebration will provide an opportunity to raise awareness of biodiversity loss and the importance of protecting endangered species, while introducing visitors to animals traditionally associated with Halloween legends and superstitions.

Environmental education will play a key role in this year’s celebrations. Our Education Department has prepared a range of talks, workshops and interactive activities designed to showcase the characteristics and ecological roles of animals such as snakes, spiders, bats, owls and other nocturnal birds. Through these activities, we aim to challenge some of the popular beliefs surrounding these species and highlight their importance in maintaining healthy ecosystems, conveying a clear message: in nature, there are no ‘good’ or ‘bad’ animals; every species plays an essential role in maintaining the balance of the natural world.

This year, our Halloween-themed setting will also introduce the concept of ‘ghost species’, highlighting animals that could disappear if action is not taken to ensure their conservation. Rhinos, elephants, tigers and other endangered species will feature prominently in our decorations, encouraging visitors to reflect on the consequences of extinction and the urgent need to protect natural habitats.

One of the highlights of the programme will be the fifth edition of ‘Holiween’, taking place on Saturday 24 October in Pangea, our main entrance area. This family-friendly celebration will combine the Halloween theme with the vibrant colours of the Holi festival, featuring more than 600 kilos of fluorescent powder for a spectacular colour battle after nightfall. This year, we have increased the number of black-light installations to enhance the visual impact of the colours in the darkness and create an even more striking experience.

The celebration will feature music and dancing for children hosted by Peque Radio, projections of iconic Halloween characters and entertainment from Estranya Compania Teatre, who will present their show La familia Vampy. The fairies and elves will also join the celebrations with special make-up, face-painting and hair-braiding activities in a specially themed area.

Our programme of live shows will take place on 24 and 31 October and 1 November, featuring Los 3 Magos, a performance starring Mag Malastruc that combines magic and comedy in the amphitheatre in our Asia area. In addition, on 31 October we will present a special musical show in the same area, while on 1 November the K-Pop warriors will take centre stage with a special Halloween musical performance.

Our educational birds of prey flight demonstrations will also be adapted to the Halloween theme, with a particular focus on nocturnal species. These activities will give visitors the opportunity to discover their adaptations, behaviour and survival strategies, while learning more about the importance of protecting these animals and ensuring their conservation.

With this celebration, we aim to combine family entertainment with environmental awareness, using the imagery and atmosphere of Halloween as a way of introducing the public to the reality of species that can often generate fear or rejection. At Terra Natura Benidorm, we want to remind visitors that the real threat does not come from these animals, but from the factors that endanger their survival and the biodiversity of our ecosystems.

We therefore invite our visitors to discover, learn and see nature from a different perspective — one in which knowledge and conservation take centre stage.
